Adding a Pet Door to a Sliding Glass Door

One of our Facebook followers asked us if we can put a pet door into her sliding glass door. The answer is yes.

There are two ways to go. The first is a do-it-yourself option. Certain pet supply retailers sell sliding door inserts that simply snap into an existing opening. These units typically cost between $150 and $250. The downside: they can let drafts in and make it more difficult for people to get through the opening.

Option number two: Lee & Cates Glass can install a pet-friendly door systems in place of just about any window, whether it’s a standard or custom size.

If we can help, just contact the Lee & Cates location nearest you.
