Insulated Glass

Do you remember single-pane windows? If so, you may recall how they could let cold air in and out of a home. They weren’t the most energy efficient products.

Thankfully, windows with insulated glass came along to make homes more comfortable and less costly to heat and cool. Because they’re airtight, windows with insulated glass also help to reduce dust, pollen and outdoor noise from coming into your home.

A Unique Advantage

All Lee & Cates insulated window units feature the Quanex SuperSpacer, a double-sealed foam spacer that can last four to five times longer than standard metal spacers. This helps the window maintain a high R-value (the rate at which the window loses heat).

And if you like supporting the local economy, you’ll appreciate that all our insulated glass windows are made in our state-of-the-art facility in Jacksonville, Florida.

Low-E Windows Mean Low Energy Costs for You

The special coatings that are applied to the outside of Low-E windows during the manufacturing process reduce the amount of solar heat that passes through the glass in order to keep your home cooler during the warmer months. That same coating applied to the interior side of the window reflects the heat you want in your home during the colder months. What does this mean for your home? Reliably comfortable temperatures year-round. By using quality insulated glass windows, you can reduce your energy costs by as much as 20%.
