There are few things more frustrating than waiting for your windshield to defrost in the morning. And even if you could find an ice scraper in Florida, would you want to get your cardio in by scraping a layer of frost of your windshield? No.

This little life-hack will save your time and your sanity. All you need is:

  • a spray bottle
  • 70% isprophyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)
  • tap water

Fill your spray bottle with 1/3 cup of water. Add 2/3 cup of alcohol. Swirl the bottle to combine the liquids. The bottle will start to feel a little warm, but this is normal. Place your cap and nozzle on the bottle.

Then, spray the mixture over the icy sheet covering your windshield. Depending on the thickness of the ice, you may need to let the mixture sit for a moment, run your wipers, and repeat the process until your windshield is clear.
